David Kirby received the most votes of any plaintiff’s lawyer in polling to select outstanding attorneys throughout the state, and finished second overall in the voting for all lawyers in North Carolina.
The voting was in a survey for the publication “North Carolina Super Lawyers.” David received the second most votes of any lawyer in any area of law among the more than 25,000 lawyers licensed in North Carolina. In receiving the second most votes, David was competing against lawyers in all areas of specialty, including criminal defense, real estate, corporate counsel, and personal injury defense.
No other lawyer who primarily does plaintiff’s work was included among the top 10 finishers.
In addition, David has once again been selected for inclusion in the 2010 edition of the book “The Best Lawyers in America.” The publication is widely regarded as the preeminent referral guide to the legal profession in the United States. Every two years it conducts an extensive peer-review survey in which thousands of the top lawyers in the U.S. confidentially evaluate their professional peers.
David has been selected for Best Lawyers every year since 2000 in the category of personal injury litigation.
David is also a member of The Inner Circle of Advocates, an organization of the 100 top plaintiff's lawyers from around the country, and in 1996 was named Lawyer of the Year by the national publication Lawyers Weekly USA.
David is also a fellow in The American College of Trial Lawyers. The College, founded in 1950, is composed of the best lawyers in the trial bar from the United States and Canada and is widely considered to be among the premier professional trial organizations.
David is also a fellow of the International Society of Barristers. The International Society of Barristers is an honor society of outstanding trial lawyers chosen by their peers on the basis of excellence and integrity in advocacy.
David also has been selected as one of the top 500 Plaintiff Lawyers in the U.S. by Lawdragon, and he’s been chosen by Business North Carolina as a member of the state’s Legal Elite repeatedly since 2001.
