Kirby & Holt receives 2005 Philanthropist of the Year Award from Easter Seals/UCP of North Carolina

Easter Seals/UCP of North Carolina awarded Kirby & Holt its statewide 2005 Philanthropist of the Year Award at it's annual awards banquet on October 21, 2005. Easter Seals UCP presented the firm with a beautiful wood vase hand turned by artist Darnell Rhudy from a 100 year old walnut tree recovered from the Oakwood area of Raleigh.  The vase contains the following inscription:

“In recognition of your commitment to making North Carolina a better place for people living with disabilities and believing that each individual, each dollar and each action makes a difference”

In presenting the award, Easter Seals UCP recognized Kirby & Holt’s financial contributions through the establishment of the Carli Snell Endowment  Fund in honor of a former client with cerebral palsy.  The endowment funds outreach services to children from the Easter Seals UCP Child Development Center in Charlotte. 

Kirby & Holt also has sponsored the annual Raleigh area Fantasy Auction fundraiser for Easter Seals UCP for the past five years.  Mark Holt serves on the Board of Directors of the Horizons Foundation of Easter Seals UCP of North Carolina.
